Inspired in equal parts by nature and the imagination, Exuviae dynamically portrays the phenomenon of shedding in the animal world. Antlers lose their velvet; cicadas and snakes slough off an entire body in a single piece. Trees drop their leaves, which become earth. Everything exists within a cycle, and what was once old can become new again.

Elly ZK is an artist, designer, and crafter from Baltimore, Maryland. Much of her work stems from an attempt to take existential dread and make it either funny or beautiful. Her favorite subjects are nature and pop culture and she often finds way to intertwine them, such as in her Cereal Skulls Series.
